• HARD gel Nails
Hard gel (also known as builder gel or sculpting gel) is a thick, durable nail enhancement product usually lasts up to 4 weeks.
• Prep: Nail cleaning, cuticle care, shaping, and sometimes applying nail forms or tips if extensions are desired.
• Application: Sculpting thick hard gel onto the nail or form with a brush.
• Curing: Placing the nails under a UV/LED lamp to harden the gel.
• Finishing: Filing and shaping the cured gel for a sleek finish.
• Color (optional): Adding colored gel polish or nail art on top.
What the difference? Hard Gel vs. Soft Gel (Gel Polish / Builder Gel)
● Hard Gel:
o Thick, sculptable, solvent-resistant (must be filed off)
o Excellent for extensions and long-lasting manicures
● Soft Gel (Gel Polish):
o Thin, easy to apply and soak off with acetone
o Great for color but less structurally supportive
● Builder Gel:
o Falls between soft and hard gels; can be soft, semi-hard, or hard
o Sometimes soakable depending on formula

• Gel X nail extension
Gel-X (also known as soft gel tips or full-coverage gel extensions) are pre-formed gel tips that extend beyond your natural nails. Unlike acrylics, these are applied in one piece and can be soaked off with acetone.
They offer the strength of classic gel and the ease of press-ons, without waiting for natural growth.
• Duration: Gel-X typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks, depending on application and upkeep.
• Removal: Gently file down the surface, then soak in acetone for 10–20 minutes. The extension should dissolve and glide off with little force.

Gel X steps application:
• Prepare the natural nail – lightly buff, shape, and cleanse to ensure adhesion.
• Dehydrate and bond – apply a pH bonder and acid-free primer to help the gel adhere.
• Etch the tip (optional) – lightly roughen the underside of the Gel-X tip for better grip.
• Apply Extend Gel – a specially formulated adhesive that bonds the pre-formed tip to your nail.
• Position and cure – place the tip at a 45° angle, press gently, then cure under an LED lamp.
• Shape & finish – file and shape the tips to your desired form, then apply polish or topcoat.
